The CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchors is an ideal corrosion-resistant material that will withstand long-term exposure to the environment, especially saline. The CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchors should only be installed in concrete that is solid and should never be used in light weight or hollow materials, such as block or brick. The 304 stainless steel used in the CONFAST® Wedge Anchors has the innate ability to form a protective surface that prevents corrosion. However, it is susceptible to corrosion from chloride solutions, i.e. saline environments with high amounts of sodium chloride. If this is the case, then 316 stainless steel may be acceptable.

CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchors - Product Information
The CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor is for use in submerged, wet outdoor environments.

For dry environments, it is recommended to use the zinc plated wedge anchor
For moist applications, it is recommended to use the galvanized anchor
For extreme caustic environments, it is recommended to use the 316 stainless steel anchor

For use only in solid concrete
Packaged with the correct size and quantity of 304 stainless steel nut and washer
Expansion clip is manufactured from 304 stainless steel
Installation Requirements:

Minimum embedment for each diameter
Spacing between anchor must be more than 10 anchor diameters apart from another wedge anchor
Minimum distance from an unsupported edge is 5 anchor diameters

The anchor length is measured from end to end, which includes the threads as well as the necked down area that the expansion clip sets
Static loading only. It should not be used in vibratory loading situations.
CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchors have a torque range that is different for each diameter.
A wrench must be used to expand the anchor during the installation process
Hole size in the concrete is equal to the diameter of the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor being installed
Threads of the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor must be below the surface of the concrete or the item being attached to allow for correct expansion
The hole in the fixture must be slightly larger than the diameter of the CONFAST® 304 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor being installed
