Features/Benefits
Each 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor has a one-piece clip that ensures uniform holding. The threaded end is chamfered, allowing for the nut to be easily started. Each anchor is fully threaded to allow added versatility.
Material
The anchor body material of the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor meets minimum 70,000 psi tensile strength. The nut is carbon steel ASTM A 563, Grade A, and both the washer and clip are carbon steel. All are mechanically galvanized and meet standard ASTM B695, Class 55, Type 1 requirements.
Testing
The 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is tested with ICC-ES’s criteria for expansion anchors. The test evaluates static tension and shear loading, seismic and wind loading, combination tension, and shear loading and critical and minimum distance.
Reports
The following reports and listings are for all mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchors and may include the specific 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor:

Description
The description of the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is described in two parts. The first number 3/8” refers to the diameter and the second number 3-3/4” refers to the length. The threads on the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor are national coarse threads identified as 3/8” – 16 and have 16 threads per inch. The length is measured as an overall length which includes the threads.
Applications
The3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is made to be used in exterior unpolluted environments, with a medium level of rust resistance: they are well suited for humid environments.
Thread Length
The threads on the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor measure 2-5/8 ” in length.
Bit Size
A 3/8” diameter ANSI Standard carbide tipped bit should be used for drilling the hole in the concrete for the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor. It is critical that the correct diameter bit be used and that the hole is drilled using a hammer drill that is set in the hammer and rotation mode when drilling the hole.
Fixture Hole Size
To allow the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor to be inserted through a hole in the fixture being attached, the hole must be a minimum of 7/16”.
Wrench Size
A 9/16” wrench is required to turn the nut on the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor. Do not use an impact wrench to tighten or set.
Minimum Embedment Depth
For minimum holding strength, the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor must be embedded into the concrete or grout filled masonry a minimum of 1-3/4”.
Maximum Depth of Hole
There is no maximum depth of the hole for the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor. Deeper embedments generally mean greater holding values and installation may become difficult at deep embedments.
Maximum Fixture Thickness
The maximum thickness of the fixture for the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is 2”. This is determined by subtracting the minimum embedment of 1-3/4” from the overall length of 3-3/4”
Length Identification
The head on the threaded end of the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is stamped with a letter corresponding to the overall length of the mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor. This letter allows for inspection of embedment depth after the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor has been installed. Each 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor is stamped with the letter “E” meaning the length is from 3-1/2”, up to but not including 4”

Torque Values
When installing a 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor the nut must be torqued to 30 ft/lbs to ensure that it is set properly in the base material.
Installation
- Drill a hole in the concrete or grout- filled masonry using a 3/8”carbide drill bit and a hammer drill.
- Drill the depth of the hole ensuring minimum embedment depth of 1-3/4” and space for any dust created during installation to fall.
- Blow the hole clean of all dust and debris using compressed air.
- Put the washer on and thread nut on until the top of the nut is flush with the top of the threaded end of the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor.
- Place the 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor through the fixture and drive by using a hammer until the nut and washer are tight against the surface of the fixture.
- Using a 9/16” wrench, turn the nut clockwise to the required torque value of 30 ft/lbs.
Packaging
The 3/8" x 3-3/4” mechanically galvanized Wedge-All® wedge anchor are packaged 50 pcs per box with 50 nuts and 50 washers in each box.
