How to Install Leadwood Screw Anchors

Purchase Leadwood Screw Anchors

Leadwood screw anchors can be installed in four simple steps. These concrete fasteners can be used in the following base materials: concrete, brick, block, and mortar. Longer length leadwood screws should be used in softer base material. Anchors are rust resistant and sheet metal screws are used to expand the anchor.

Installation Steps:

  1. Drill a hole in the base material with a hammer drill and a correctly sized carbide tipped drill bit for the diameter Leadwood Screw Anchor you are using. See our technical specifications page for the drill bit size required. The hole should be 1/8” deeper than the anchor length for flush mounting.
  2. The drilled hole should be 1/8" deeper than anchor length for flush mounting.
  3. Insert the anchor into the hole and tap the fastener lightly with a hammer to ensure it is flush with the base material.
  4. Set the fixture over the anchor and insert the properly sized sheet metal screw through the fixture and into the anchor.
