Tapcon® Stainless Steel Flat Head

 

The Tapcon® stainless steel flat head is designed for use in most masonry base materials and is made from a 410 stainless steel. The flat head is a Phillips drive and is countersunk to allow the installed screw to sit flush with the surface of the item being fastened. There are 5 classes of stainless steel: ferritic, austenitic, martensitic, duplex and precipitate-hardened. The only class that is non-magnetic is the austenitic, which includes the 300 series used in many type of fasteners. 410 stainless steel is in the Ferritic class, and is magnetic.

Applications:

  • For wet or moist outdoor applications
  • Coated with silver Climaseal™ for added rust resistance
  • Not available in 304 or 316 stainless steel
  • 410 stainless steel is magnetic
